At the Academy, we begin our day with a song and all students take Brother Hammon's choir class. This welcome session is a musical class with Brother Hammon. A music conductor for both school and community choirs for five decades, he shows a deep connection to music, and his ability to inspire others to explore ideas, think critically, and open their hearts to the messages within songs. Through his mentorship, participants in his choir class are promised an enlightening and enriching experience, filled with insightful analysis, practice, and emotional interpretation. Brother Hammon's influence extends beyond musical knowledge, as he encourages individuals to elevate their skills and appreciate the profound impact of music on the soul.
The Cohesion Course is a team-building experience crafted by Academy seniors to foster and enhance the development of leadership qualities, teamwork capabilities, self-confidence levels, and resilience in individuals through completing a series of physically demanding challenges. This program is strategically designed to inspire participants to understand and appreciate the inherent value that each member brings to the team dynamic, encouraging diverse talents and skills to join for a collective 'win' of shared objectives.
